The successful applicant will augment a world renowned team of engineers providing research and consulting services to various industry sectors. Activities will include laboratory and analytical work relating to design and troubleshooting of industrial solids handling systems. Engagement with various research focussed projects will also be required.
A good quality degree, PhD (completed or close to completion) or equivalent qualification in some aspect of mechanical or chemical engineering would be desirable, together with familiarity of general engineering principles applied in industry. Proven hands-on skills in laboratory and/or practical engineering work are essential. The candidate will need to have well developed communication skills both written and oral, and to be prepared to occasionally represent The Wolfson Centre to industry clients in a way that will impress.
Hours of work will be full time but flexibility to make early starts and/or late finishes when travel or workload requires it will be essential.
Salary Scale: (AC1) £25,013 - £29,837 per annum
