Informa Exhibitions Ltd regrets to announce the closure of Solids & Bulk Handling magazine.

Solids & Bulk Handling magazine has been affected by the ongoing downward trend of on-the-page marketing spend. This combined with the economic pressures that the loose and solids handling industry face has ultimately led to the sad and difficult decision to cease publishing the magazine.

The November/December 2017 issue of Solids & Bulk Handling will be its last edition.

Bunting Headline Sponsors of Waste 16

“Improving the amount and quality of metal being recovered from a waste stream is what we do,” explained Dave Hills, Bunting’s Head of Sales, “and we felt that Waste 16 provided us with the ideal promotional platform.”

Bunting Magnetics Europe Ltd exhibited in 2015 and Hills was thrilled to take up the opportunity to be a headline exhibitor and sponsor of Waste 16 (Thursday 9th June 2016, AJ Bell Stadium, Salford).

“We [Bunting] are one of many suppliers of Magnetic Separators to the recycling sector and we felt that Waste 16 gave us the opportunity to highlight how we differ.  Metal separation is no longer just about separating metal, as the proportion recovered and the quality or purity, have both increased in importance.”

On stand A79 at Waste 16, Bunting will be promoting Magnetic Separation technology that enables enhanced separation of materials such as Stainless Steel and even Printed Circuit Boards.

Printed Circuit Boards separated by the Bunting HISC

“The HISC [High Intensity Separation Conveyor] was launched last year and the response was amazing.  This high strength magnetic separation system was designed to separate weakly magnetic stainless steel, but in practice, we have also found that it enables the separation of other problematic materials such as Printed Circuit Boards.  For some of our customers, this changed the way they processed their process,” said Hills.

At Waste 16, Bunting will also continue the promotion of the highly successful Twin Pole Overband Magnet.

“The enhanced separation of steel from conveyed material possible with the Twin Pole Overband Magnet has been a game changer for many of our clients,” explained Hills.  “The traditional single pole Overband has been used for decades, but an increasing number of waste processing and recycling companies are using the Twin Pole Overband Magnet design to increase steel recovery and also improve the purity.”

Bunting has also recently installed a complete Metal Separation Module in a plastics recycling plant in Kent and are looking forward to discussing how the combination of a Drum Magnet, Eddy Current Separator and Metal Separator has, in the words of the client, 'removed 100% of the metal'.

Dave Hills was excited by the opportunity to be a headline sponsor of Waste 16.  “We believe that this enhances our identity as a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of Magnetic Separation equipment.  We can’t wait for the show!”
